Pandea member firms Adacta Advisory (Italy) and Attest Corporate (Spain) have successfully collaborated to close the sale of technology group ANDRITZ to Salico Group.

The international technology group ANDRITZ has signed a binding agreement to acquire the Salico Group, headquartered in Italy and Spain, with subsidiaries in the United Kingdom, the United States, and India. Salico specialises in the design and manufacturing of advanced finishing lines for processing ferrous and non-ferrous metals into sheets and strips.

This acquisition marks another key milestone in ANDRITZ’s strategy to become the full-line supplier for the entire downstream portfolio in the ferrous and non-ferrous industries.

Founded in 1978, Salico boasts more than 45 years of experience delivering finishing plants for processing ferrous and non-ferrous metals in sheet and strip form. With offices in five countries and a production facility in Molteno, Lecco province (Italy), the company generates an annual turnover of approximately 100 million euros and employs over 150 professionals.

Salico’s product portfolio complements ANDRITZ’s capabilities in supplying and maintaining finishing lines for various grades of steel and aluminium, as well as for strips of all sizes. Its sales and service network will further strengthen ANDRITZ’s global presence and support continuous growth in the finishing segment and related services.

Jose María Gerbolés, CEO of Salico Group, commented: “We look forward to integrating Salico into a global, technology-leading company like ANDRITZ. Together with our highly motivated team of professionals, we are excited about this new scenario that offers great opportunities for joint growth and development. United, we will serve our customers with flexibility, rapid response times, a direct approach, and the strength of the ANDRITZ Group”.

Daniela Colombo, Deputy CEO of Salico, added: “The fact that a world-class global player in the metals industry such as ANDRITZ has chosen Salico to lead the product group for finishing lines is a great source of pride for my family, as one of the two founders of the company. I am fully convinced that this new chapter in Salico’s history will make us even stronger and lead to very promising and successful times for both our customers and ourselves”.

The transaction is expected to close in the coming weeks.
